One of the most popular songs of the late 50s was "Souvenirs", which was sung by countless artists, especially in Europe, and entered the charts in various countries.
The original came from the New Yorker Barbara Evans, who was able to celebrate local successes with "Souvenirs", but never achieved the popularity of many of her cover versions. The talented artist went on to record other teen rock & roll songs for various record labels and even made the U.S. charts with "Charlie Wasn't There." Here, for the first time, is a compilation of all her recordings from 1958 to 1962.
To round off the CD and the theme, we have included, in addition to the recordings of Barbara Evans, various versions of the hit song "Souvenirs", in different interpretations and languages. From well-known stars like Bill Ramsey, the Kessler twins, Gitte and Johnny Hallyday to unknown artists like Francis Charles, this overview shows how varied a song can be.
