Jackie Walker (* ca. 1939) is a US-American Rockabilly, Doo-Wop, West Coast Teen Rock & Roll and Pop singer.
Jackie Walker was a student at UCLA University in the 1950s and early 1960s. Walker recorded his first record in 1954 for Imperial Records on "Big Fat Fib / Little Too Little". Three singles for Chevron Records followed, one of which was released in 1957 on Dot Records in a pop style mixed with country. He made several local hit lists with "On The Way Home / Love Sublime", followed by a contract with Imperial Records. His next single there, Peggy Sue, was a cover of the Buddy Holly hit. In early 1958, Imperial released a much "harder" rockabilly single with Only Teenagers Allowed / Oh Lonesome Me, featuring Joe Maphis on guitar. The B-side Oh Lonesome Me was again a cover, this time by country star Don Gibson. Walker's last single for Imperial was released in the summer of 1958 with Good, Good Feelin' written by Johnny and Dorsey Burnette. Together with Sally Stevens, Jim Mitchell and Jim Patton, Walker then sang in the doo-wop group The Baysiders. Solo recordings for Everest, Montclare, Nico and his own Tidal label followed. In later years he successfully produced several Christian albums, TV shows and stage plays and has written 4 books.
