Dwight A. Pullen wurde am 5 März 1931 in Blountsville, Alabama geboren. Er nahm seine erste Platte 1956 für Delta Records als Whitey Pullen auf. Als Road Manager betreute er Gene Vincent und war 1956 der Gastgeber der "Red Barn" Show in Anchorage, Alaska. Er nahme einige großartige Rockabilly und Country Songs für Sage records auf, aber ist vor allem für seinen Rockabilly Klassiker "Sunglasses After Dark" auf Carlton Records bekannt. Dwight "Whitey" Pullen verstarb am 24 November 1961in Los Angeles, Kalifornien an Krebs.
Born Dwight A. Pullen, March 5, 1931 in Blountsville (Alabama), Dwight Pullen debuted at Delta Records in 1956, under the name of Whitey Pullen. But he was best known as the road manager of Gene Vincent in 1959. He was the presenter of the Red Barn (Anchorage, Alaska) in 1956. He recorded some great Rockabilly and Country for the Sage label, but is best known for his Rockabilly classic "Sunglasses After Dark" for Carlton Records. Dwight Pullen died of cancer on November 24, 1961 in Los Angeles (California).
